Want to get an early peek at the very first trailer for “Halo: Nightfall”? Well, you do not need to fiddle around with your thumbs any longer, since the folks over at Microsoft has already relented and let fans of the franchise check out what the upcoming digital video series will look like, in addition to teasing the uninitiated to jump aboard the bandwagon. After all, the Halo franchise has already gained and built up quite a following over the years.

The timeline of Nightfall would see it placed between the events of “Halo 4” and “Halo 5: Guardians,” where it will see Mike Colter star as Jameson Locke, who incidentally, would also play a major role in the Halo franchise’s Xbox One game that is tipped for an official release sometime next year, arriving in the form of a playable character.

Other than that, there is very little revealed concerning the digital video series’ plot, although in the trailer itself, it does point to an “element” that “selectively kills humans and nothing else”, which means that could be one of the major story points out there. All speculation with nothing concrete? That is a little hard to swallow, but as with all teasers, patience will eventually reveal the rest of the picture. [Press Release]
