HTC FlyerAccording to the rumors, HTC is said to be working on the Nexus 9 tablet which has been given the codename Flounder/Volantis. However according to a recent rumor from @evleaks, he has revealed that HTC is working on two more tablets apart from the Nexus 9, making this a pretty big tablet effort from HTC.

While HTC did try their hand with tablets back in 2011 with the HTC Flyer, the tablet failed to gain much traction and while there were rumors about HTC releasing a new tablet after that, nothing surfaced, suggesting that HTC had pushed back their tablet plans. However if @evleaks’ post is to be believed, we could be looking at a pretty big push from HTC.

Unfortunately no word on what sort of specs or features we can expect from HTC’s other two tablets, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out the details. In the meantime as far as the Nexus 9 is concerned, word has it that the tablet will pack a 2K display and will be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset.

It is also rumored to come with an 8MP rear-facing camera with OIS, 2GB of RAM, and will come in 16/32GB storage options. There’s still no word on when HTC will be making their announcement, but do check back with us at a later date for the details.
