The meteoric rise of messaging applications have made emojis and stickers very popular. Some people would now find it hard to have a conversation through a messaging app without having emojis to rely upon, they have become such an integral part of conversations now. If you find that the standard set of emojis that come preinstalled on an iPhone aren’t enough for you then you should take a look at the Imoji for iPhone application. It is capable of turning any image into a custom emoji.

Custom emojis generated through the Imoji app can then be used for conversations in iMessage, Apple’s own messaging app, that allows users to chat iOS to iOS and iOS to Mac.

Imoji has taken a different route as its not a standalone messaging service, lord knows we already have enough of those. Instead its more of an add-on for iMessage, a chat app that’s already well established within Apple’s mobile ecosystem. Though other chat apps like Line and BBM offer users the ability to purchase sticker packs for a couple of dollars.

You can use any image from the internet or the iPhone’s photo gallery. Imoji offers a handful of simple controls that allow you to zoom, crop and cut the image so that it takes the form of an emoji. Those who don’t want to create their own can browse the app for custom emojis created by other users.

Imoji for iPhone is available as a free download from the App Store.
