iphone-6-logo-light-up

There has been enough chatter about a feature of the iPhone 6 that many fans would certainly welcome. Word on the street is that the rear logo on the iPhone 6 will light up whenever there are new notifications. Thus users will be able to find out at a glance if they have to check their iPhone particularly when its face down. A picture of a purported iPhone 6 shell has appeared online which shows a thin plastic space from where the light will supposedly shine out.

As previously mentioned this rumor has been repeated by many sources in the past but this time around the picture comes from Sonny Dickson. He is well known in the community and happens to have a solid track record.

It is possible that this clear plastic logo might also be used to enable NFC on the iPhone. Apple has never included Near Field Communication in its smartphones and once again there are rumors this year that the iPhone 6 will finally bring NFC. This chance should allow transmission signals to go through which would have previously been blocked by the metal.

Once again I cannot stress enough that these are rumors from unofficial sources. Even if their track records are solid only Apple knows that its putting in the next generation iPhone. So take this with a grain of salt, and hope that Apple does let the logo on the iPhone’s back light up this time around.
