When it comes to digital assistant programs, there are the likes of Siri from Apple and Microsoft’s Cortana, where the latter has been pretty spot on when it comes to World Cup predictions. Having said that, the timeline could very well be translated to pre-L and post-L, which would be pre-Louise and post-Louise, and the latter part is where Cortana comes in. The Louise demonstration as shown in the video above does look as though it is pretty aged, considering how it runs off Windows Phone 7.

It is not too difficult to figure out the comparisons between Cortana and Louise, and it also goes to show the lengths and amount of progress that Microsoft has achieved where the Cortana digital assistant is concerned. Chances are Louise could very well be a name that might have made it to the Windows Phone 8.1 platform, but after all that is said and done, do you think calling it Cortana could be a whole lot better?

Apart from that, it can be inferred that Microsoft did not come up with Cortana just as part of a knee-jerk response, since the beginnings of the Cortana digital assistant seems to be a whole lot more ancient than before.
