xbox promoWe guess gamers who upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One can sort of be called loyal fans. After all with other platforms to choose from, they chose the Xbox One, so that’s saying something, right? Well it looks like Microsoft could be looking to reward gamers who have upgraded from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One.

This is according to a post on the NeoGAF forums where it was revealed that some Xbox 360 gamers were greeted with the message above when they turned on their Xbox 360. Basically they were given $75 in credit as a result of purchasing the Xbox One. The money can be used towards games, add-ons, movies, and etc., according to the promotional text.

Now apparently not all Xbox 360 gamers are eligible for this promotion as there are some Xbox 360-cum-Xbox One owners who did not receive the $75 credit towards their account. It is unclear what the requirements are for a gamer to receive the credit, but for now it really just feels like the luck of the draw.

It is also unclear if this promotion will extend to other countries/markets, but just for your information, the person who posted the screenshots is from Canada, so we guess at the very least Microsoft has the Canadian market covered. In the meantime have any of our readers received this message?
