If you are one of those who downloaded the Windows Phone 8.1 preview and thought that the software could do with a decent video editor, you’re certainly not alone. That has been the sentiment from many WP8.1 users and Microsoft has finally come up with the answer to their prayers. Today it unveiled a new application called Video Tuner. The app will exclusively be available for Lumia devices updated to Windows Phone 8.1 and will add a host of powerful video editing features to the software.
Since most high-end Lumia smartphones tend to have very powerful cameras it makes sense for the software to have advanced editing features as well. The stock camera application in Lumia smartphones already offers advanced features and its good to see that video editing hasn’t been left behind.
Some of the features of Microsoft’s Video Tuner app include the ability to mirror, flip, trim and crop a video apart from several options that allow users to add video filters and background tracks. Users will also be able to adjust contrast, saturation and exposure levels. A speed-change option has also been added to Video Tuner thus making it a powerful all-in-one solution for all your video editing needs. Its much more powerful than the stock Movie Moments app.
