With Mortal Kombat being a somewhat beloved franchise by gamers around the world, it is without doubt that many gamers are looking forward to the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. Now we know based on trailers and screenshots that certain classic characters will be returning to the game, like Scorpion, Subzero, and Raiden, but what about guest characters?
Are there any particular characters not necessarily of the franchise that could make an appearance in the game? Well the good news is that according to Ed Boon of NetherRealm studios is that yes, there is a good chance that gamers can look forward to guest characters in the upcoming game.
“I think there’s a novelty to having a downloaded [sic] guest character, so, I think the chances are pretty high. I don’t think every single one of them [new characters yet to be announced] will be a guest, but I think the chances of at least one of them will be pretty good.” Unfortunately Boon did not mention which characters we might be able to expect, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Previously we had seen guest characters such as God of War’s Kratos who was included as a playable character in the PlayStation 3 version of Mortal Kombat, so we have to wonder who else might make the list. What do you guys think?
