A couple of weeks ago, Nikon announced the Nikon D810 DSLR camera which promptly went up for pre-order the day after. According to Nikon back then, they had estimated that the camera would begin shipping on the 17th of July, but apparently it seems that some lucky folks have received their cameras a week and a half earlier than expected!

Of course this is a cause for celebration, after all it’s almost like Christmas coming early, right? Some users have taken to Instagram to share photos of their purchase, and there is even an unboxing video of the camera that has made its way onto YouTube, which you can check out for yourself in the video above.

Nikon Japan themselves have also confirmed that the camera will ship on the 17th of July, but given that the camera has already made its way out a little earlier than expected, perhaps customers in Japan can look forward to the same treatment as well.

Now in the meantime for those who missed our coverage, the Nikon D810 is the latest camera from the Japanese camera manufacturer. The D810, just like its predecessor the D800, will be a full-frame camera. It will sport a 36.3MP sensor and will be powered by Nikon’s EXPEED 4 image processor. The camera will allow for ISO shooting of up to 51,200 and also comes with features aimed at videographers. The camera is priced at $3,300 for the body-only.
