T-Mobile saw much success with the Nokia Lumia 521. This low-end Windows Phone device was actually one of the best selling WP devices in the U.S. Its a slightly modified version of the Nokia Lumia 520 which as you may remember was exclusive to AT&T in the U.S. Nominal changes were required to ensure that AT&T’s exclusivity was not breached. The same step might soon be taken with the Lumia 1520. T-Mobile might launch it as the Nokia Lumia 1525. This smartphone is also exclusive to AT&T.

The Nokia Lumia 521 was only 4mm taller than the Lumia 520, another difference was UMTA compatibility for T-Mobile’s network as well as differences for hearing aid compatibility. These changes set it apart from Lumia 520.

It is not known right now what changes will be made to the Lumia 1520 in order to get it to T-Mobile as Lumia 1525. The rumor comes from @evleaks who claims that this smartphone will soon make its way to Magenta. Unfortunately information about pricing and availability hasn’t been leaked yet. T-Mobile is also expected to launch the Lumia 2520 tablet on its network in the near future.

Lumia 1520 was unveiled late last year. Powered by Windows 8 this smartphone has a 6-inch full HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood aided by 2GB of RAM. A 20 megapixel rear camera provides exceptional imaging capabilities.
