samsung logoIt seems that Samsung has settled into a very comfortable pattern, that is, to time the release of its flagship devices during certain times. For instance, Mobile World Congress that happens in Barcelona, Spain, is held every February and that is where the latest Galaxy S model gets announced, while IFA in Berlin, Germany, which happens in September often sees the latest Galaxy Note version arrive. This has certainly led to speculation that the latest Galaxy Note 4 will be announced on the 3rd of September at IFA 2014.

The Korea Times claim that Samsung has set their eyes on the 3rd of September as the announcement date for the Galaxy Note 4, with plans to send out media invites in due time. Other rumors surrounding the Galaxy Note 4 include it rolling out with a metal body as well as sporting a flexible display.

Other expected hardware specifications include a 5.7” QHD display at 2560 x 1440 resolution, an Exynos 5433/Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, a 16-megapixel camera that sports an optical image stabilization, and an ultraviolet sensor.

In other news, we also did mention that Sony too, could be looking in the direction of IFA 2014 to roll out their Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. [Press Release]
