gs4-lte-442They say that good things always come to those who wait – if you happen to be rocking to the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (otherwise known by its model number as the GT-I9506), then you would be pleased as punch to take note that Samsung has begun to introduce the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for this particular model.

Of course, the international LTE-A-enabled and Snapdragon 800-powered variant of its flagship smartphone from last year will finally catch up somewhat with the rest of the high end pack. Right now, it looks as though the update with build number XXUCNG3 is being sent out to the Nordic region (that would cover Sweden and Finland, among others), and is made available via Over The Air (OTA).

It is expected to arrive with a similar set of features that we have seen with all of the previous KitKat updates, where improved performance is a given, accompanied by a redesigned status bar with white icons, an enhanced lockscreen that boasts of a camera shortcut and full-screen album art, wireless printing capability, more recent versions of Samsung apps, and an improved battery life. It should not be too long before the rest of the Galaxy S4 LTE pack receives this Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
