There’s a new title coming for Sony PlayStation 4 in the near future. It was confirmed today on the official PlayStation blog that Samurai Warriors 4 for PS4 is going to be released this October, 24th October to be precise. The announcement was made on the blog by Hisashi Koinuma, the producer for Samurai Warriors 4.
Koinuma has been with the Samurai Warrior series ever since its inception, serving as a director for SW1 and SW2, as well as the producer for SW3 and the upcoming release. The series makes its return after four years on the PlayStation 4, destined for release on October 24th in Europe.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series a special collector’s edition Samurai Warriors 4: Special Anime Pack has been announced. It includes the anime Samurai Warriors: Legend of the Sanada, as well as the official soundtrack for the game and additional DLC content as well.
Samurai Warriors is a strategy action game series if you’re unfamiliar with it, with ties to the Sengoku Jidai era that is known to have existed in Japan. Set in the 1600s, Samurai Warrior 4 draws players into conflict-driven years and allows them to take on the role of various warriors who eliminate anyone that stands in their way.
