For a site that peddles rumors and tip offs from anonymous folk as well as insiders in the industry, @evleaks has had a fair number of hits, and some misses as of late. If you have been hearing whispers of the Sony Lue Z being peddled around, touting this to be a smartphone that runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 platform, then you might want to take note that this is a non-existent handset and will not be making an appearance anytime soon.
Apparently, the Sony Lue Z was revealed by a (in the words of @evleaks) “tipster I barely know – no guarantees here”, and hence he discovered that it was a fake after checking out the possibility of the Sony Lue Z with some other folks out there. Needless to say, the original story of the Lue Z post has been taken down, and when one looks at the naming convention of the purported Windows Phone 8.1, one cannot help but smile at the way it sounds – “Loser”.
Pretty convinced that Sony is fake now, after consulting numerous people, so I pulled it down. Sorry if it got your hopes up.

Rumors are risky business after all, and you can never quite tell just which anonymous tipster is going to pull your leg or not.
