A couple of weeks back we heard that T-Mobile would soon be adding a new phablet to its lineup. The device is reportedly manufactured by China-based ZTE and it is said to carry the “Olympia” codename. Just yesterday we saw an allegedly leaked picture of the ZTE phablet. Today purported specifications of the phablet have been leaked online. It appears that the Olympia is going to be a mid-range device on T-Mobile’s network.

According to TmoNews the ZTE Olympia carries model number Z970 had has a 6-inch display. The source doesn’t say what the resolution is but it is speculated that this might be a 720p panel, which is one major hint that this is truly a mid-range device.

The Olympia’s is reportedly fashioned out of plastic even though at first glance it may look like brushed metal. The power button is said to be on the right top edge and volume controls in the middle on the left, accompanied by a microSD card slot.

It is said to have a 8 megapixel rear camera that is capable of shooting video in full 1080p HD. The front facing camera is apparently a meager 0.9 megapixel shooter which won’t be attracting any selfie conscious customers.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip is expected to be onboard through there’s no information as yet about the RAM or onboard storage. No word on 4G LTE support as yet but the source says that the Olympia does come with near stock Android 4.4.2. No word as yet on when T-Mobile is going to unveil this device so we’ll have to wait and see when that happens.
