When Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi speaks, you can be sure that the entire fandom will stop whatever they are doing at that particular moment in time, and listen. After all, I am quite sure that many of us do look forward to the possibility of a future Final Fantasy title, never mind the fact that there has been some duds in recent memory despite a strong heritage of quality titles. Having said that, the upcoming title from Sakaguchi happens to be known as Terra Battle, which is a RPG which has been specially designed for smartphones according to Famitsu.
So far, it has not been ruled out that this Japanese RPG will make its way to consoles, but at the moment, we do know that Terra Battle will feature a release this coming September on both the Android and iOS platforms over in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Who knows, with Sakaguchi the man himself being slated to speak at the Japan Expo in Paris, he might just spill more beans on the upcoming game which will see Mistwalker helm the development of the game. Mistwalker was founded by Sakaguchi himself a decade ago, and some of the games it has published include Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and The Last Story.
