ga1According to the rumors, Samsung is expected to either announce the Galaxy Alpha later today or next week. For those who are hearing about this for the first time, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is an upcoming handset from Samsung and if the rumors are to be believed, it could be a handset made from a different material other than plastic.

That being said, thanks to a bunch of leaks, several photos of the upcoming handset has been revealed. Unfortunately due to the nature of the photos, it’s a bit hard to tell if the handset truly sports a metal build as the rumors claim that it will be. From what we can tell, the handset still looks plastic-ish, although the frame of the handset does appear to be metal, but here’s hoping it’s more than that.

The specs of the handset have yet to be confirmed, but the rumors claim that it could sport Samsung’s very own Exynos 5433 chipset, although oddly enough despite the powerful processor, the phone is said to feature a 720p HD display which is disappointing. Many would have expected a phone of this calibre to feature a higher resolution display, but then again these are just rumors.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will hear about the handset soon, so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
