Earlier this year, Rovio announced that they had a new Angry Birds game in the works called Angry Birds Stella. This will actually be the tenth game in the Angry Birds franchise and will introduce gamers to a host of new characters. However apart from the introduction to new characters, the gameplay is expected to remain the same.

There will be new locations for players to play from, such as Golden Island, and the good news is that if you were looking forward to the game, Rovio has since officially announced that Angry Birds Stella will be seeing a release on the 4th of September which is a couple of weeks away, so gamers won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on it.

Recently Rovio had released the trailer for the game (which you can check out in the video above as well) and also stated that the game will be arriving on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 8. No mention of BlackBerry 10, but given that BlackBerry 10 can run Android apps, we reckon this should not pose a problem, hopefully.

No mention of whether Angry Birds Stella will be a paid app like the early iterations of Angry Birds, or if Rovio will turn to the freemium model where gamers can purchase in-app items with real money, such as with Angry Birds Go!
