A week ago, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue was listed on a retailer’s website. Many were wondering what the game could be about, and now thanks to leaked images obtained by the folks at Access the Animus, we now know a little bit more about it. For starters one of the leaked screenshots shows that the game will be arriving on the 11th of November and that it will be arriving for the Xbox 360.
Now we all know that Assassin’s Creed Unity is designed for next-gen consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. However there were also rumors about a certain Assassin’s Creed “Comet” that would be designed for current-gen console owners who were still holding back on upgrading their consoles, so based on this we can only assume that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is that game.
Unfortunately not much is known about Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, although the screenshots have led some to believe that the game’s main character will be a templar, which will be a nice and interesting change of pace. It is also expected to be picking up from where Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag left off.
Familiar faces such as shipmate Adewale and Assassin’s Creed 3’s Haytham Kenway are also expected to make an appearance as well. When reached out to by Eurogamer, Ubisoft gave a boilerplate statement about not commenting on rumors and speculation, but with Gamescom kicking off next week, hopefully more details will be revealed by then. In the meantime you can check out the leaked trailer below, although the quality is hardly optimal.
