rugby4It will be two years by the time AT&T makes available the Samsung Rugby 4 to the masses, and judging by the name alone, you can tell that this is going to be a handset that is not only tough, it is also capable of getting the job done even in the toughest of situations. Do not expect the Samsung Rugby 4 to look like a high end smartphone though, for the simple fact that it is not one under such hierarchy. Basically, the Samsung Rugby 4 will continue from where its predecessor, the Samsung Rugby 3 left off, coming in a now classic clamshell form factor that most folks would have thought of it to be extinct.

As for the kind of hardware capabilities that this bad boy will carry, expect the Samsung Rugby 4 to arrive with push-to-talk ability thanks to AT&T’s Enhanced PTT service. Apart from that, the Samsung Rugby 4 will also continue moving forward from the series’ basics through the inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity as well as noise suppression so that your conversations will end up in a more crystal clear manner. Not only that, just in case both of your hands are occupied at the moment, there is always the option of an improved speaker to listen to.

Expect the Samsung Rugby 4 to arrive with a military specifications rating when it comes to toughness, alongside GPS support for navigation purposes. So far, there is no word on pricing or availability, but at least it has been confirmed to arrive later this year.
