There’s good news for PC gamers today. Electronic Arts has just announced that Battlefield 4 for PC is going free for one week. That means you can go ahead and download the game free of charge and give it everything you have got for 168 hours. This promotion is made possible through Origin Game Time. Those who are interested in taking advantage of this will need an internet connection and an Origin account.

Origin users have until August 14th to add the title to their Origin Game Library. Once it has been added to the library the title can be downloaded and only then will the 168 hour Game Time clock will start ticking. The promotion ends August 14th at 10:00 AM Pacific.

For one full week gamers can take advantage of everything Battlefield 4 has to offer. In those 168 hours you can first choose to complete the single-player campaign before jumping on to multiplayer which supports up to 64 players. The Game Time clock will run in real time and will keep ticking whether you’re playing or sleeping, however all progress and Origin Achievements will be saved if you decide to keep the career going after Game Time ends. Simply buy the game and pick up right where you left off.

EA says that the title has started rolling out and should be available in most regions within the next few hours. A day or so will be required at maximum for it to go live in all regions.
