After months and months of endless rumors and speculation it was finally confirmed not to long ago that Apple is buying Beats, the entire company, with its subscription music streaming service and profitable hardware lineup. While it may be that the subscription service attracted Apple to the company, Cupertino intends to keep the hardware end of things around and will even take up design duties for future products. For now though Beats by Dre products are getting their very own section in the Apple Online Store.

While Apple has sold Beats products through its online store in the past this is prime real estate for these high-end audio devices. This change really won’t surprise anyone since Apple now has a vested interest in the performance of Beats’ products and services, and what better way to move more of those products by giving them prime position.

The new section is located in the Accessories section of the Apple Online Store. It receives top billing alongside other sections including Apple accessories and Exclusives. The microsite for Beats products boasts typical Apple design with links to dedicated sections for Beats headphones, accessories and speakers.

This addition has also been made to the Apple Store app for iOS thus making it easier for mobile users to browse and purchase Beats by Dre products on the go.
