bose-soundlink-mini_10It was earlier this morning that we brought you word on how HTC could actually be teaming up with Bose when it comes to reducing the size of the BoomSound speakers in their future smartphones, simply for the fact that a smaller sized speaker with the same kind of performance – or better, would translate to a narrower bezel on the front of the smartphone itself, allowing the screen to be larger without seeing a growth in the chassis size. Having said that, a representative from the Bose PR has informed us via email that “Bose is not working with HTC on speakers for their phones.“

I guess that the previous piece would be yet another rumor that no longer holds any water, which means HTC could be working with some other audio specialist in order to achieve a similar result, or the Taiwanese company could actually be working on this particular advancement on their own. Of course, one would also be unable to rule out the very real possibility that nothing of the sort will be happening, which means that BoomSound speakers will retain their current size, and there will be no narrowing down of bezels in the mean time. What do you think will HTC’s next step be?
