casecamSelfies seems to be the trend these days to the point where we have heard rumors that companies such as Sony and Nokia are thinking about creating smartphones designed to target selfie-takers. Now if you think that a selfie-focused smartphone is a little ridiculous, perhaps you might be interested in an iPhone case called the CaseCam.

The CaseCam has been designed to help take photos of you and your friends, but instead of relying on the front facing camera, which can lead to slightly squashed and awkward photos, it allows you to take more posed and “normal” photos. How is this done? Well as you can see in the photo above, the CaseCam comes with a built in stand.

However the stand also comes with a mirror that helps reflect your image onto the iPhone’s rear-facing camera, thus allowing you to get into position and take posed shots easily. The CaseCam will also come with its own app that has a timer function built into it, so you don’t have to worry about finding an app that will do that for you.

Alternatively the app allows another user with the same app to connect with each other, so you can check out how the photo will look like as well as use it as a remote shutter, pretty cool, huh? Of course you will have to find a proper surface to prop the phone up on which could prove difficult, but if you’re not too fussed, you can head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
