Bungie’s Destiny is without a doubt one of the most highly anticipated first-person shooter titles of 2014. Due for release next month the developer has already posted a handful of teaser trailers online, whipping up our appetite for the $500 million game. Many people have asked if it will be possible for players to trade items that they have gained and unlocked. Bungie has officially confirmed that item trading is not possible in Destiny.

David Dague, the community chief of Destiny, wrote that players will not be able to trade items with other players. However they will be allowed to trade items between all of the various characters that they have created. This restriction has been put in place so that players spend time to earn the items, not just acquire them from someone who has already opened them up.

While he was on the subject of Destiny, Dague also confirmed that wherever players move from one location to another they will have to go through the Orbit process. He describes it as an “inescapable wonder of space travel.”

It was also confirmed that the title has gone gold. Discs are being packed in crates which will then be shipped out to retailers and resellers around the globe. Destiny will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 come September 9th.
