There’s no doubt in the fact that a lot of gamers around the world are waiting for Destiny to be released. The title has already been through an alpha and beta release, all it did was increase gamers’ appetite for Bungie’s latest game. Activision has sunk in a whopping $500 million in Destiny and judging by the response so far it looks like this might have been a good investment by the publisher. Today the Destiny launch trailer was posted online on YouTube, getting the hype machine rolling as the release is now less than a month away.

Set in an open world “mythic science-fiction” setting Destiny is Bungie’s new role-playing first person shooter title. Those who know their games will recognize that this developer previously worked on the Halo franchise.

Some trailers have been released in the past as well, the launch trailer release today should give gamers an idea of what to expect from Destiny. It highlights the open world setting, seamless multiplayer, seemingly infinite player choice and more. Several gameplay videos of Destiny are also available on YouTube from folks who took the beta for a spin, they too give a great idea of what Destiny really looks like.

Destiny is going to be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 9th. Retail and digital pre-orders have been open for quite some time now.
