d3 consoleHeads up gamers, if you have been waiting to get your hands on Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls for the console, you might be pleased to learn that Blizzard has officially announced that Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition is now available for purchase in stores where it will be playable on consoles like the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One.

Granted PC gamers have been enjoying the expansion for quite a while now, we guess those who have been holding out for the console version won’t have to wait anymore as they are able to finally get their hands on the game. The console version will introduce new features like Apprentice Mode, the Nemesis System, along with Player Mail and Player Gift.

In addition to that, gamers on current-gen consoles who have upgraded to next-gen consoles will be able to transfer their characters from their old console to their new console, regardless of which platform they are switching to. More information on character transfers can be found on Blizzard’s website.

Some gamers have argued that Blizzard had designed Diablo 3 to be compatible with consoles right off the bat, and based on reviews of the console version, it certainly sounds that way, although it is a pity that PC gamers and console gamers can’t play with one another. In any case if you’d like to pick up a copy for yourself, head on over to Blizzard’s website to see the retailers it is available from.
