ecs-tablet-fccHave you heard of ECS before? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you might be pleased to hear that the ECS TC69CA1 has already been spotted over at the FCC, which means the tablet’s nod of approval would most probably translate to a commercial release in due time. The hardware specifications of the ECS TC69CA1 do seem to be rather similar to that of the 10” Education Tablet from Intel, which so happened to have ECS as the hardware manufacturer.

However, Intel’s Education Tablet happens to be a 10” device, and the ECS TC69CA1, as seen on the FCC, might very well be the 7” model of the student- and teacher-oriented tablet. With the ECS TC69CA1, it will come with a 6.95” display at 1,024 x 600 pixels, sport a 5-point multitouch panel, will run on an Intel Z2520 Clover Trail+ processor, accompanied by 1GB RAM, and has anywhere from 8GB to 32GB of internal memory that can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot. It will, of course, run on the Android platform, where connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. A 2,600mAh battery will run proceedings from within.

As for the types of cameras it comes with, expect to see a 2MP shooter at the back, with a VGA camera in front for poor quality selfies. There is no word on an official release just yet, so stay tuned.
