google_logoThe search giant known as Google has drawn up plans to introduce what it calls its very first campus over here in the continent of Asia. Taking into consideration just how large Asia is, to be more specific, the folks over at Google wants to spice up the startup scene over in Seoul, South Korea. Google exec Bridgette Beam shared, “Korean innovators and entrepreneurs are some of the best in Asia and Korean startups are making headlines around the world, especially in the mobile space.”

Hence, what is it that those over in Seoul are able to look forward to when it comes to Google’s Campus? This particular program already has bases over in the likes of London and Tel Aviv, among others, where the main objective of it would be to allow the local startup ecosystem to tap into the experience, resources and support which Google’s local and global teams are able to offer. Being located in South Korea will ensure that there will be exchanges with other campuses, not to mention a range of programs that are focused on topics such as motherhood and startups, CampusEDU, mentoring with Googlers, the works.

As to whether Campus Seoul will be able to live out its vision of supercharging tech entrepreneurs, while strengthening the startup ecosystem and encouraging additional innovation in South Korea remains to be seen – only time will be able to tell.
