HTC is widely known for its Android smartphones even though the company has developed multiple WP devices in the past. It has been quite some time since HTC has released a new WP device and it is expected to offer one soon that will be powered by Microsoft’s mobile platform. From what we have heard its essentially the HTC One (M8) that the company released earlier this year, the only difference would be that it will be powered by Windows Phone 8.1. Images of the devices have now been leaked online.

This may be our best look yet at the upcoming Windows Phone flagship from HTC. From the outside it looks no different than the HTC One (M8) Android flagship that the company released earlier this year. It also appears to be fashioned out of metal, which has become one of the biggest selling points for the company’s flagships.

No major specification changes are expected. The device may be powered by a 2.3GHz quadcore Snapdragon 801 processor from Qualcomm coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The device may also have a 5-inch full HD display with a 2,600mAh battery and an UltraPixel camera.

The images also reveal Verizon branding which points towards the possibility that this device could head to the largest U.S. carrier. No word as yet if it will be launched on other carriers as well. HTC hasn’t confirmed when this smartphone will be released.
