lumia-830-AT&T

It appears that Microsoft is now prepping a new smartphone for AT&T. Rumors claim that it is the Lumia 830, codenamed “Train,” and that it should land on the carrier in the near future. Not much is known about this device right now and there has been no confirmation from Microsoft or AT&T. For those who still haven’t heard, Microsoft is now in the business of making smartphones since it has acquired Nokia’s devices and services business.

It is believed that the Lumia 830 is going to be a mid-range successor to the already available Lumia 820 smartphone. A picture of the alleged device has also been leaked online but keep in mind the fact that it hasn’t been confirmed by an official source, so take it with a grain of salt.

No other versions have been spotter so far which is why it might be possible that this smartphone may be exclusive to AT&T. It would make for a good addition to AT&T’s Windows Phone lineup ahead of the fall, even though the Lumia 830 isn’t expected to be a high-end device.

No word as yet on the specifications and hardware package so interested folks will have to wait on that information for a while. Who knows when an official announcement is going to take place.
