When it comes to video games, there are moments in time when folks take the route of bringing it to life, literally speaking, through a real world performance. Take the Legend of Zelda Symphony as a good example – but before one arrives at such a level of professionalism, one will have to start somewhere, right? This is where a video of the Jamieson Elementary School orchestra performing “Beware of the Forest Mushrooms” from Super Mario RPG comes in.

The discovered footage showed a decent coordination between the music and the live action, where cardboard cut outs of Mario and the rest of the scenery, such as coin boxes, and the like, will move in tandem to the music, making it all the more appealing and somehow heart warming.

Just what are some of the other video games do you think should be accompanied by an orchestra ensemble? After all, there is plenty of rich material going on, and I am quite sure if someone were to be able to pull off a Pokemon style performance, it would be a hit among the schoolchildren, much to the chagrin of their parents who by now, would have had enough Pokemon to last them several lifetimes.
