Motorola-LogoEarlier this year, Motorola took the wraps off a new handset in the form of the Moto E. It is expected that Motorola will also unveil the successor to the Moto X, but if the rumors are to be believed, Motorola will not be stopping there. According to a new report, word has it that Motorola is apparently developing as many as 8 devices that could see a release by the end of the year.

One of these devices is apparently the Nexus 6 which is rumored to be developed by Motorola. Other possible devices includes the Moto X successor, a possible successor to the Moto G, and also DROID handsets that will be headed towards Verizon as per Motorola’s long-standing partnership with the carrier.

However interestingly enough, it seems that all these devices haven’t necessarily been greenlit. The rumors claim that the handsets will be dependent on each other, meaning that unless a particular handset does well, the future of the other devices might remain murky. This means that while Motorola may have 8 devices in the works, not all of them might be making it into the market.

In any case this is still a lot of phones for Motorola, considering that the company didn’t really do much last year in terms of handset releases, but take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us at a later date for the details.
