mega2Samsung is a company that is intent on making sure that just about every single one is able to afford their smartphone – whether they are extremely well off, middle class, or just living day to day. Of course, none of what Samsung rolls out will ever compare to Nokia’s barebones devices like the Nokia 130, but they do have the likes of the Samsung Mega 2 that might just fit the bill perfectly for those who want something decent without breaking the bank.

Needless to say, from the name itself, you can tell that the Samsung Mega 2 will continue from where the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 left off. Having been spotted on the database of China’s Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center, some of its hardware specifications which ought to be of interest to the masses also surfaced.

Showing up in China with the model number SM-G7508Q, it will be able to play nice with China’s TD-LTE standard, so chances are China Mobile will be the carrier of choice in the very near future. As for the international variant of the Samsung Mega 2, it will most probably carry similar hardware specifications, save for the different band compatibilities. Underneath the hood lies a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Android 4.4 KitKat as the operating system of choice, a 13MP shooter at the back with a 5MP front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot.
