Sharp AQUOS Crystal Button MapIt was just yesterday that we brought you word on how the Sharp AQUOS Crystal smartphone could be arriving Stateside via Sprint, and here we are with the official announcement that will bring a smartphone equipped with a near borderless 5” HD display to the market, offering users an unparalleled immersive mobile experience. Just what kind of hardware specifications will the Sharp AQUOS Crystal pack underneath the hood?

For starters, we are looking at Android 4.4.2 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, where it will feature Harman Kardon Clari-Fi and LiveStage audio technologies, where those were specially designed in order to bring music to life in an unprecedented manner. LiveStage technology will offer a more lifelike listening experience through the enhancement of sound dimension, while Clari-Fi technology increases the quality of digital sound by restoring compressed digital music.

At the back of the Sharp AQUOS Crystal would be an 8MP camera with flash, a 1.2MP camera in front for decent selfies, Night Catch function that lets you capture better looking night time shots, HD Voice that virtually eliminates background noise, Wi-Fi calling to let you take advantage of voice and messaging services over Wi-Fi networks, a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a 2,040mAh Lithium-Ion battery.

Expect the Sharp AQUOS Crystal to be made available for purchase in the U.S. in due time via Sprint as well as its partner providers Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
