sleeping-dogs-definitive-edition

Earlier this week we saw a leak about United Front Games’ action packed open-world Sleeping Dogs. The leak hinted that this title would be making its way to PS4 and Xbox One later this year. Initially there was no word from the publisher Square Enix but it has now come out and confirmed Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The title will also include 24 pieces of the DLC which include episodes that extend the story, Nightmare in North Point and Year of the Snake episodes will be integrated into Sleeping Dogs for next-generation consoles.

Dan Sochan, a senior producer at United Front Games, said “It was an exciting opportunity for the original development team to be able revisit a game we’re so passionate about.”

Sochan says that they have gone beyond just increasing the resolution and enabling the game to run at 1080p. United Front Games has tweaked the gameplay, made additions to the ambiance of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and “push the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.”

Square Enix has officially confirmed that Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC is going to take place on October 10th 2014.
