iphone-6-quick-start-guide

As we all know that there have been plenty of rumors and leaks about the upcoming iPhone but the latest one is quite interesting. A usually reliable source has published a supposed iPhone 6 Quick Start guide which not only reveals the expected launch date but also reiterates some of the things that we have already heard about Apple’s new smartphone.

Folks at NoWhereElse today posted this image online, claiming to have received this from a contact who apparently got a hold of it soon after it was printed. The scribe doesn’t count out the possibility that minor changes might be made to this document before it is finally stuffed into iPhone 6 boxes.

The Quick Start guide shows that this smartphone will simply be called iPhone 6, whether or not it would be the same for the iPhone 6L remains to be seen. As expected it shows the Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the device as opposed to the top where this button has always been located on all previous iPhones.

The device image itself seems to hint that the iPhone 6 will indeed have a larger display, but it doesn’t mention any specific dimensions. The design seems more or less the same when compared to iPhone 5s. Touch ID fingerprint sensor retains its position underneath the home button.

Previous rumors have pegged the announcement for September 9th, which is precisely the date mentioned in this Quick Start guide. We’ll have to wait and see whether its true or someone went to great lengths to create this fake document. Apple is yet to confirm its iPhone 6 launch event.
