Microsoft did announce their Halo Channel not too long ago, where that was the place to be if you would want to learn everything and anything about Halo. Of course, there is also another piece of ‘bait’ that will do its bit to help you watch what is being shown, including interacting with shows such as Halo: Nightfall, where doing so will subsequently unlock in-game rewards within Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
According to 343 Industries executive producer Kiki Wolfkill, “When you get to the end of a show it will show you all the things you’ve unlocked and experienced; and another key part of that is rewarding you for the things you’ve done in the channel and ecosystem. So, Halo: Nightfall for instance will have unlocks in The Master Chief Collection and in the Halo 5 beta that will carry into Halo 5 and vice versa. What we really want to do is create this really seamless ecosystem that allows you to experience different things together and be rewarded for that.”
Being able to interact with such shows are definitely a part of next generation TV programming, don’t you think so? It will also help expand your knowledge and dive deeper into all things Halo, and who knows, eventually you might end up as Halo’s walking encyclopedia.
