whatsappFrom a convenience perspective, being able to answer calls and reply messages just by talking to your watch makes sense. However for kids who grew up watching Dick Tracy. talking to your watch is probably one of the ways we get to live out our childhood fantasies. Well the good news is that thanks to Android Wear and WhatsApp, you will be able to do that.

Now if any of you guys own an Android Wear device like the LG G Watch or the Samsung Gear Live, you might be interested in checking out a beta version of WhatsApp. The developers have recently released an updated beta where not only can you view complete WhatsApp messages right on your watch’s display, but users will also be able to reply messages using their voice which will be captured by your watch’s microphone.

This is pretty awesome since we reckon that the small-ish screens of the watches makes it a bit hard to type, not to mention the positioning of the watch would make it a little difficult as well. However we should note that the beta will have to be downloaded from WhatsApp’s website directly, so don’t bother trying to find it via Google Play, at least not until the app is out of beta.

Other changes WhatsApp made includes stacked notifications which lets you see more than one WhatsApp notification by tapping the “+” button. Also like we said, it will display the entire message as opposed to a preview, although viewing longer messages might not necessarily be too ideal. In any case if you have an Android Wear device, perhaps this is a beta worth checking out.
