yo appA couple of months ago, we brought you word on what could very well be the most simple messaging app out there in the market, where it is simply known as ‘Yo’. Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, you can be certain that there will be some sort of Yo clone making its rounds sooner or later. Apparently, the Yo clone in question here would come in the form of Yolo, which has been described by Yo founder Or Arbel to be “a complete fake copy of our Yo app.”

Needless to say, that has incurred the wrath of the folks over at Yo, who are none too happy with the presence of Yolo. In fact, Or Arbel has already filed a complaint with Apple, where the are asking Apple to get rid of the Yolo app from the App Store for the one simple reason that Yolo allegedly infringes on Arbel’s copyright and trademark for the Yo app.

Since there are always two sides to a coin, what does Yolo’s founder have to say about his app? Basically, Yolo is an app that allows users to send times to one another, it leans more toward the direction of a game and competition, with only one similarity – the user interface. In fact, the user interface is touted to be more or less identical in nature, and it remains to be seen whether Apple will bow down to Yo’s request in due time.
