iphone-6-carrier-prep-pocketnowSo we know for sure that the iPhone 6 will be announced on the 9th of September, but when will the phone actually go on sale? Well some have speculated that its release date could be the 19th of September, while others speculate that pre-orders might only begin then. Either way according to the folks at PocketNow, they have received a note from one of their sources.

The note is apparently from a carrier and it looks like the carrier could be potentially getting ready for the iPhone 6’s release on the 19th of September. The carrier in question is a mystery, although admittedly it’s common practice for carriers to block off dates in which the iPhone would go on sale as they would need as much staff on the floor as possible to handle the influx of customers.

However we should point out that the note does not seem to be too sure of the iPhone 6’s release. They have pegged its release from the 19th of September to the 27th of September. It is possible that the note could be based on rumors as opposed to the actual dates given by Apple, but it does show that carriers are starting to get ready for the launch.

In fact over in China, China Telecom might have gotten ahead of themselves by launching a pre-order page and also revealing some of the iPhone 6’s potential specs ahead of its official release. In any case we will learn more about its release come 9th of September, so stay tuned for the updates!
