When it comes to bike riding, safety is extremely important as there are drivers out there who might not always be on the lookout for bike riders, not to mention you’re pretty exposed and all it takes is a light tap to send you flying. That being said, we can only imagine that the danger increases at night with low visibility, which is why the Double O bike lights could come in handy for the cycling enthusiast.
Now there are many types of bike lights out there, but what makes the Double O different from some of the competition is that the lights are centered in the middle, which could end up creating a very bright beam that might actually distract and annoy other drivers. Instead the LED lights have been spread out in a ring, as you can see in the image above.
Now Double O was the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign and they have created both lights for the front and the back. These lights are also detachable and they can also be worn on your helmet if that’s what you prefer, or if you have a backpack you can attach it to the straps as well.
The headlight is capable of putting out 85 lumens and according to its creators, will last a good 50 hours with standard AA batteries. The lights can also be attached to one another via magnets and can be threaded into a U-lock if you’d rather not have them stolen.
