HTC has released two variants of the One (M8) smartphone this year, the first being powered by Android and the second opting for Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Many have been wondering if a phablet is one its way as well? Last year the HTC One Max was released and there’s speculation now whether a new One Max is on the cards. Specifications of the HTC One (M8) Max have been rumored and by the looks of things it may be one Android powerhouse.

The rumor originates from China and claims that this device is going to have a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor beating under the hood coupled with 3GB RAM. Sense 6.5 and the latest version of Android are also rumored to be onboard. Apparently it will be fashioned out of silicon carbide reinforced aluminum ceramic alloy.

HTC One (M8) Max may even have an 18 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and a 3,000mAh battery. Word on the street is that this device might be released in Q4, 2014. If that is true then HTC’s new phablet should be hitting the market in the near future.

HTC hasn’t officially confirmed anything as yet so do take this with a grain of salt. We’ll keep our ear to the ground and let you know when more information regarding this phablet surfaces.
