This particular ad has been making its rounds for a few days now, where it does look as though it mocks Apple’s style of advertising. Basically, IKEA has just released their 2015 catalog, so why not ride on Apple’s wave by promoting this catalog in the same manner? A certain Jorgen Eghammer, who has been listed as IKEA’s “chief design guru” (he’s obviously fictional), might even make some folks think that he does have a slant of Sir Jony Ive about him.

Basically, the IKEA 2015 catalog has been touted to be so revolutionary, it does not come with any kind of cables, and will boast of eternal battery life – which is something all of us gadget lovers would love to experience with our portable devices. Not only that, when the catalog is closed, the “interface” measures a portable 7.5” x 8”, and opening it would deliver an instant “growth” to 15”.

The IKEA 2015 catalog will also make use of tactile touch technology that helps you turn the pages, and all of its high definition content comes pre-installed without any kind of lag. This is certainly tongue in cheek advertising that grabs the attention of the masses as it goes viral, and it certainly showcases on a different level the creative minds that IKEA possesses. Would you prefer a BookBook or MacBook?
