xbox-one-hands-on-review-02Microsoft, having introduced their maiden gaming console a fair number of years ago in the form of the Xbox, which has since seen two sequels – the Xbox 360 and the latest model, the Xbox One (which isn’t doing too hot in Japan or the rest of the world compared to the Sony PS4 by the way). It seems that Microsoft wants to bring gaming to a whole new level, by taking a stab at cloud-based gaming. A Microsoft research project has been discovered to offer a cloud-based gaming service which would have minimized the albatross around cloud-based gaming’s neck – lag, and while lag is not eliminated completely, it has been lowered by a significant margin.

Apart from that, Microsoft is also working on the ability for one to play games in the browser, and we are not talking about simple games in this case, but rather, titles that can be found on the Xbox – whether last generation or current generation games. In fact, an anonymous source claims that we might actually see 60FPS titles make their way to a browser, and if that were to be true, then it would be one killer feature where Microsoft’s console, and gaming on the whole, would be happy to have. Right now, do you even use your browser to play games?
