motorola-moto-x-2nd-gen-hands-on-8Just last week and finally after all the rumors and speculation, Motorola took the wraps off two new phones – the new Moto X and the new Moto G. Both phones’ predecessors were popular in their own right and with the improvements Motorola has made, we don’t see why the newer models can’t be as popular, if not more.

Perhaps to help get the ball rolling, Motorola has recently launched their new Trade In program. Basically the Trade In program by Motorola will see customers sending in their older smartphones and trading them in for a Visa Prepaid Card worth as much as $300 for it. However the catch is that you will have to buy either the new Moto X or the new Moto G to qualify.

Also it doesn’t really knock off the price of your purchase, although we guess the money you receive from your trade in could go back into your bank account or used for something else. The deal is pretty straightforward. According to Motorola’s website, all you’d have to do is send in your device, get it appraised, and if you agree on their quote, you’ll just have to follow the instructions on their website to proceed.

Naturally it will be quite hard to get the full $300 amount as Android Central has found that it would take a mint Samsung Galaxy S5 to get that amount. A 16GB iPhone 5s was found to be worth around $240. In any case if you’d like to learn more or send in your device, pop on over to Motorola’s website for the details.
