moto-x-appsMotorola has started to get back in the good books of many with their recent forays into the smartphone world, ranging from the two versions of the Moto G, not to mention a similar thing happening with the Moto X. In fact, Motorola has delivered a near stock Android experience that can be further enhanced through other apps which will be downloaded via the Play Store. This in turn would allow operating system software updates to be pushed out at a faster rate, and the same has applied to the Moto X (2014). While the Moto X (2014) is up for pre-order, Motorola has already introduced a quartet of apps for the handset in the Play Store.

The new Moto app will function like a hub that ties in all of the rest of the other Motorola services, while there is also the Moto Display app that will play the role of the Active Display app from the first Moto X. With the latest Moto X and the right app, the handset is capable of handling different notifications in an easier manner compared to the past, where all you need to do is to swipe left and right, and you’re good to go.

Apart from that, there is the Motorola Sensor Services app that is said to keep “your Sensor firmware updated”, while the new Moto Actions app enables one to customize gesture actions such as “twist to launch camera” alongside other IR gestures. Are you stoked yet?
