music-unlimitedMusic Unlimited on PS3 has just received a major update that has already gone live, and for users who are curious to know just what kind of fixes does this come with, it will feature a completely new user interface as well as offer a vast improvement in terms of performance. The main focus would be on music discovery as well as quicker access to your favorite tracks, and it definitely carries shades of the Music Unlimited PS4 app.

Whenever you open up the new MU app on the PS3, one of the first few things that you would notice would be the redesigned home page that will depict the most recent releases, in addition to a slew of new playlists and channels. Pushing the Square button would lead you to the left-hand navigation menu as you hunt down access to the search function in addition to access to Charts, Playlists, Channels, My Library, and Settings tabs.

When you pick Charts, you will be greeted by the most popular Music Unlimited albums and songs, and all of it will be sortable by genre. The Playlists section is pretty much self explanatory – it lets you enjoy playlists which are curated by Sony’s very own in-house music experts, in addition to your personal playlists that you have lovingly crafted and put together.
