2ds bundleAfter so many years, it seems that the Pokemon franchise is still going strong. As gamers might have heard by now, there will be new Pokemon games coming up soon in the form of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and to commemorate the launch of the new games, Nintendo has also taken the wraps off two new Nintendo 2DS consoles.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Nintendo 2DS, these are consoles that differ from the 3DS in the sense that they do not flip open. Instead, as you can see in the image above, they are just one big huge device which kind of reminds us of the handheld consoles from back in the day, and they have also done away with the 3D feature.

That being said, the new Nintendo 2DS devices won’t sport new hardware, but they will be available in a transparent red and transparent blue finish. They will be sold come 7th of November and will come as a bundle in which gamers can choose to either pick up the transparent red version that will include the Pokemon Omega Ruby game, or the transparent blue bundle that will come with the Pokemon Alpha Sapphire game.

Unfortunately pricing of the consoles was not mentioned but presumably they will be priced around the same as a regular bundle and not much more.
