nokia-lumia-735__02Just last week during IFA 2014, Microsoft took the wraps off several handsets, one of them being the Nokia Lumia 735 which is a slight variation of the Nokia Lumia 730 that was also announced at the event. Now if you were looking for an entry-level handset and you don’t want to spend too much money, you might be interested to learn that according to a report fro Windows Phone Central, the Lumia 735 is expected to make its way onto Verizon.

Unfortunately no word on when exactly the phone will be making its Verizon debut, but it is expected to arrive in the near future. The report claims that the phone is in its final stages of carrier approval so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before we see some kind of official announcement from the carrier.

Just as a quick recap for those who might have missed our coverage last week, the Lumia 735 is an entry-level handset from Microsoft. The specs of the phone is nothing to shout at as it will feature a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, a microSD card for memory expansion, and 15GB of OneDrive storage.

However Microsoft is marketing the handset as a selfie phone which is thanks to the handset’s front-facing wide-angle 5MP camera which will allow you to get more people into the shot, or more of the background. The rear-facing camera is of the 6.7MP variety with a Carl Zeiss lens. The handset has been priced at 219 Euros but we’re not sure how much Verizon plans to charge for it.
